SHAZAM TUTORIAL

You may have heard of the app SHAZAM and some of you might even be using it. But most may not know that we can use that app to help Seventeen get promoted and introduced more to the US Market. So I hope we can share this info amongst Carats.

SHAZAM is a free app and is a go-to source for what's hot in music. It is not a streaming app. It is used to identify songs based on a short sample played and predicts the next hit song by the number of counts a certain song gets on the app. US radio stations use Shazam's charts as reference to identify which songs are popular. In turn, this will give these songs a chance at radio play. This will be useful if we want Seventeen to get into the Billboard charts.

Usually Shazams are only counted once every 24hours, but accordingly we can bypass this by clearing the data on the phone's storage.

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD and INSTALL THE APP

STEP 2: PLAY THE MUSIC: Open any music app on your phone and play any SEVENTEEN song and leave it to play in the background. Just in case you don't have it on your phone, play it using a different device.

STEP 3: Open your phone settings to enable Microphone & Location under 'Permissions'

STEP 4: Go to the app & tap once to Shazam

STEP 5: Once the app detects the song, that is considered one Shazam. Exit the app to clear data.

STEP 6: Repeat process
