As much as a lot of Carats want to help out in supporting SEVENTEEN, some of you may not know how.
Let me list out some of the most effective ways, how it will help SEVENTEEN and if there are options convenient for you.
1. BUYING ALBUMS
Album purchases will be counted on physical sales chart and most music shows have physical sales as one of the criteria in counting for music show wins. But you must take note where you are buying your albums.
If you or your GOMs purchased from Ksites, like GMARKET, and have it shipped to an address outside Korea, you have to authenticate and verify it via Hanteo. Please check the full tutorial here.
If you or your GOMs purchased from Ksites and other legit sources, and have them shipped to an address within Korea, you do not need to manually authenticate and verify your albums.
2. DIGITAL STREAMING
Probably one of the most important means to support SEVENTEEN. Music streaming platforms such as MelOn, Genie, Bugs, Naver Music and Soribada are available in Korea. International Carats can also stream in most of these through cracked downloads.
Aside from downloading the app, the price of passes vary from USD 10.00 to USD 40.00, depending on which type and if you want to have downloads with it or just streaming. Passes with downloads are more expensive but preferred as one download equals to a hundred streams.
Fanbases handle streaming projects which open opportunities for volunteers and contributors. Below are the options you have if you want to contribute in digitals.
Option 1: Have budget. No time to stream.
Fanbases are open to those who want to contribute to the project financially. They will be collecting funds of any amount to cover expenses in purchasing the passes needed. Fanbases need to be transparent on how they spend the funds.
Option 2: Have time. No budget.
If you do not have the means to contribute financially to the project, you can volunteer as a subcoordinator or a streamer. More details on how this works can be found in this separate post.
3. YOUTUBE STREAMING
Just like digital streaming on Korean music platforms, Youtube views also help in music show wins, but not as much. Though this may require a lot of time and effort, this platform is for free and doesn't require subscriptions or passes. But you must follow the proper way of streaming - which must be the organic way - else the views might not count. You can check my full guide here.
4. MUSIC SHOW VOTING
There are three sites or platforms where we can vote for SEVENTEEN to help them gather music show wins. Full list, download links and schedules are found here.
Actually there are four if we include STARPLAY, but Seventeen rarely participates in THE SHOW.
For a full guide on music show criteria, please visit this link.
5. SOCIAL MEDIA
It does not require much time and money, but also very effective if we want more people to participate in things that count and matter.
If you do not have the time or the money to do any of the above, it is always great to share guides, tutorials, links and reminders. There may be a lot of people who are available but don't know how to help. So if you see any posts that highlight on how to support SEVENTEEN, it would be a big help if you retweet, share or repost it in various social media platforms.
Sharing the link to the official MV will also help a lot.
These are only a few of the things you can do to support SEVENTEEN this comeback.
You can also check out my other posts as there are other stuff we can do to support them unrelated to the comeback, like Billboard Social 50 or Year-end Awards shows voting.
Thank you!
